July, 1981 to September, 1981 – Programmer / Analyst at ARIES

ARIES was an application software development company located in Minneapolis, MN. ARIES developed and sold different application systems throughout the United States.

Was responsible for Systems Design and programming for a Personnel – Payroll System that was running on several platforms, including Burroughs (Unisys), DEC, IBM, HP and Tandem. We used COBOL to code and used a few different RDMS (Relational Database Management Systems) and even some ISAM files for data storage.

Right away there was a sudden change in company plans that would make my amount of out-of-state travel more than my family desired, so I started to look for different work.
