May, 1976 to July, 1981 – Programmer to Software Systems Analyst at TIES

I advanced from a Programmer Trainee to a Software Systems Analyst during my 5 years at TIES

· Application programming using COBOL

o TIES own Database Management System, later used DMSII

· Supervisor of 4-person Application Support Team

· Responsible for System Hardware and Software

o Hardware planning, setup and monitoring (SMFII)

o Operating System (MCP) and Database (DMSII and ERGO)

o Other software (COMS, GEMCOS, CANDE)

· Created some of our own system patches that were often later released by Burroughs / Unisys
